During the third week in March, I was approached by a woman representing herself as Tracy Gray, who claimed to be "the top children's model agency in the State of Florida." This was at Macy's in Naples, Fl., with my 6 year old daughter, whom she was obviously fawning upon. she presented me with a business card, which seemed to be legitimate enough at the time, However, as she continued, she seemed to be a bit too pushy. Her appearance was disheveled, her clothes wrinkled. She began to make me a bit uncomfortable, so I made an excuse, and left. Upon arriving home, i took note that her company did not register a website. The following day, just to be sure, I contacted the greater BBB of West Florida, who told me that this woman was no stranger to them. They explained to me that this woman has had numerous claims filed with the BBB, complaining of schedueling "photo sessions", and then failing to give the persons their photographs for which they paid her to begin with. The people at the BBB were very helpful, telling me that they had reason to believe that this person my have tried these "confidence games" with many unsuspecting mothers, such as me. I am in the Modern Dance field. and work in Miami as an instructor frequently. I called three Model agencies in South Beach, Miami, and two of them had heard of her, and warned me to stay far, far away for this person. Fortunately, I did, thanks to the BBB. Now, I see other complaints on this site, describing where she may have stolen $950 from a visiting tourist from Canada. I felt a bit of a responsibility to relate my experience with this person, and to warn others to avoid her.
