UTI has not remitted the redemption amount as well as last interest due on 1st June'08. This was least expected of UTI- the "trusted" household name, especially after the fiasco of US-64 Scheme in 2003. That time the investors were urged to subscribe to the Tax Free US64 Bonds in 2003 to bail out UTI and not demand redemption of US-64 Scheme. Now when the time to refund the "trusting investors" money has come, UTI is silent.
