Dear Sir, 6/08/09
Further to my …………………
This is a complaint against M/s Kapoor Motors, 555/GA/50, Barabirwa, Kanpur Road, Alambagh, Lucknow.(UP)
Regarding car number Alto PB 36 C 9610-
As I had predicted, the car has been handed over to me and you can make out that the door metal has been battered into place. I have shown it to Mr. Srivastava, Works Manager, and he has agreed that the work has not been carried out properly. I have the audio recording with me. They changed the right fender as it was an insurance job but did not change the door because it was their fault.
Now I seriously request you to get the said door repaired /changed from some competent workshop rather than Kapoor motors. I had posted the photos to you this morning. Now I am again posting photos after the work has been carried out. The photos may not give a clear picture but the door does.
Kapoor motors phone no. is 0522- 4017602 and 4011410.
Regards.
Anil
For your reference following is the text I had sent this morning to you.
Dear Sir,
This is a complaint against M/s Kapoor Motors, 555/GA/50, Barabirwa, Kanpur Road, Alambagh, Lucknow.(UP)
My car number Alto PB 36 C 9610 was given for repairs through insurance for a dent on the right fender on Monday 3rd. Aug to the above Maruti Workshop. The delivery was scheduled for 12 PM on 4th. They changed the fender on 3rd. itself. In the evening I went to inspect it and found that the portion of the fender which comes under the bonnet has not been painted. They promised to get it done and deliver the vehicle next day on time. I reached the workshop at 09.15 AM on 3rd, to find that the said portion had been painted with a cloth in a very shabby manner. Mr. Deepak and Mr. Anil of paint shop were also flabbergasted on seeing this and gave explanation that they had left after giving instructions the previous evening, were sorry for it and got it spray painted in front of me. As I was getting late, I told them, I’ll pick it up the next day in the morning. Today on 5th, when I went to pick up the car on the 5th, I was shocked that there was a dent on the right rear door. On the first instance they were defensive and tried to pass on as it may have been there earlier (Mr. Ajay of dent/paint section). I called Mr. Shrivastava Works Manager and told him the entire episode. They asked me to leave the car saying it will be attended to. Since I had to go to the office, I told them I will leave it on Thursday 6th. morning. They have said OK and promised to give it back Thursday evening. This is update. But I am sure that after the work is done I will find a patch there.
I have always possessed Maruti cars and car is my passion. I have never had any problem in Maruti workshops in Ghaziabad, Delhi or Punjab. I have full association with Maruti workshops. In my case-
1- They did an incomplete and shabby job by not painting the portion under the bonnet.
2-Due to the above, time schedule had to be changed and I was and am being put to a lot of inconvenience.
3- They dented the car at a place where the whole door will look bad.
4- They tried to say that it was brought in this condition whereas the photographs that
were taken for survey do not speak so.
I am a technical man myself. Have headed departments consisting 1000 subordinates. Following are my observations about the said workshop.
(a) Work culture is not Maruti culture.
(b) Handling of vehicles is extremely bad.
(c) There is no seriousness to work. Work is being taken casually.
(d) Above all- they have no value for time. Working pace is very very slow. Lethargy is
the word.
(e) Administratively unsound workshop.
Please look into my case later, but save the Maruti culture.
Regards.
Anil Kumar Vijay
