2. With due respect, I would like to state few lines for your kind consideration and favourable action please. Now I have been posted to the prestigious Indian Military Academy located in Dehradun, as Academic officer with a promotion to LT Col and my address is as under.

Sir, I have written two letters earlier also to your company but till now I have not received any reply from your side, I am enclosing both my earlier letters along with this e mail, May I now request you to kindly look into my case/matter and do me a favour in granting me a car as a goodwill gesture from your company or at concession rate and I feel it is not a great task for a company like yours which is one of the best companies in the world. Your company will be doing a noble cause, which will go a long way in alleviating the physical disability of a wounded soldier. I am also enclosing my snaps of my amputed leg at page number 6.

SUBJECT: WELFARE OF THE SERVING HANDICAPPED SOLDIER (BATTLE CASUALTY)
Dear Sir,
1. With due respect I would like to state the following few lines for your kind consideration and favourable action please.
2. I, IC 53523A Major Ravinder Kumar Chauhan am of 4 DOGRA unit presently my unit is deployed on Line of Control (LoC) in Counter Insurgency Operations under “OPERATION RAKSHAK” in Jammu and Kashmir operating Pakistan sponsored cross boarder terrorism. While carrying out an Army Operation against militants, I sustained Mine Blast Injury on my left foot below knee on 05 Oct 07 due to which my left foot below knee was amputed and this has been classified as a BATTLE CASUALTY. The mines were planted by the militants on the track to the forward post and I was on a bonafide mission of anti-militant operation at forward post, when the incident took place. The photographs of my amputed Leg after the surgery are attached to this application. Subsequently to my blast injury, I was referred to Artificial Limb Centre, Pune for fitting of prosthesis (Artificial Limb) in my left foot below knee. The photographs of my amputed Leg after getting my prosthesis are also attached with the application.
3. Being a disabled soldier after losing my left leg due to the mine blast, I have been classified as a Battle Casualty by the Indian Army. The above injury has left me with a permanent handicap which will affect my employability in future. I have a family and old parents to look after, with my present medical condition my future prospects are grim and severely restricted. As per the Army medical authorities my disability is assessed as 60% (Sixty Percentage), medical certificate stating my disability is also attached with the application.
4. Your company has always stood as a pillar to help the needy and disabled soldier/officer like me. I am approaching your good office for a personal favour. Due to the amputation of my left foot my mobility has been severely restricted. The left foot being used to press the clutch in driving, May I request you to kindly provide me a modified Car on concession rates or as a goodwill gesture so that my mobility is not restricted as I have lost my left leg in an anti-militant operation. I wish to seek your assistance towards disabled serving soldier.
5. I shall be highly grateful to you and to your company for your kind and favourable action for a modified Car as a goodwill welfare measure or on concession rates to a serving handicapped soldier towards this noble cause which will go a long way in alleviating the physically disability of a wounded soldier.
