My Onida 29” TV had a problem with SCREEN OUT OF FOCUS. On request to
Just Dial, I got a list of TV Repairers in Bangalore and I decided to go with AKS 24x7. On contacting to the Service center, I got a call from your Chief Engineer Mr. Shahid (9886893841) who later came to home for inspection of the TV on Saturday 03.10.09. As per Mr. Shahid, there was a problem with VERTICAL IC which has to be replaced at his service center since he didn’t have the spare with him (and even with the
service center) and approximate estimate given by him is Rs.980/-.
Before submitting my Circuit boards, I checked with the Service letter pad he had in which it’s mentioned as ISO 9001:2000 company and with confidence I surrendered my boards to him with a promise of delivery on Tuesday 06.10.09 evening but, only after getting my confirmation to proceed further once I get the exact estimation from estimation
department on Monday 05.10.09.
On Monday, with REPEATED follow up with the service center (9620208094), I got an estimation of Rs.2975/- stating that there is a problem with another two components and they require my entire TV to fix the problem and they are ready with the people to pick up my TV.
After enquiring with my friends network, I came to know, for the problem of Picture out of focus, the amount for spares will not go beyond Rs.500/- . However, I spoke to AKS immediately and asked them to stop processing my order and return my TV Circuits. They agreed to deliver the same on Tuesday 06.10.09 morning.
On Tuesday, again with my REPEATED follow up, I spoke to customer care executives Ms. Jyothi and Ms. Ashwini on different time. Response from both was not matching since one was telling, my order has been taken up for process and another was telling, it will be sent it to me before the evening. I was shocked again and asked them to return my circuit
boards without doing anything and fix to my tv as it was working earlier. Late in the evening, I got a call from Ms. Ashwini with an excuse that they did not manage to find their technician to submit my boards.
The worst and unexpected things started on Wednesday 07.10.09 (As usual with my repeated follow up). I got a call from Ms. Jyothi one who started BARGAINING the price. I explained the pain of paying Rs.3000/- for repairing after getting a good branded tv. I clearly told them, somehow I am not ready to accept the price quoted and I want to take a
second opinion from the company. With lot of discussion, she called me up three times with a discounted price of Rs.2150/-, 1800/- and at last with Rs.1500/-. I felt something fishy and I started demanding my boards back. The answer I got was same.. IT WILL BE DELIVERED TO ME IN THE EVENING. With my controlled patience I tried to contact them again. But they didn’t mind to pick my call. So, I sent an SMS saying I will be coming in one hr. to pick my boards and do not process any work. When I reached service center at 3.30PM, I produced my receipt to the In-Charge over there and asked him to handover my boards. He started searching for nearly 20 mins….(Supposed to be an ISO company) and later he told THE BOARD WAS TAKEN IN THE MORNING ITSELF TO DELIVER TO ME……
he had no answer of status of board, whether its rectified or not…. I requested him to provide the name and contact no. of the person who has taken my boards and I wanted to talk to him in front of the service center In-charge. After many try, he (Mr. Radhakrishna 9844222822) picked up the call and informed that he is in Okalipuram (Near Sujatha theater,
nearly 7 KMs to mathikere) and will be at my place at 6.30. With some relief, I went back to home. Around 5.15 surprisingly, I got a call from Mr. Shahid, one who came for
inspection and took my board, asking the reason for not approving the order processing. When I informed him that the approximate rate for rectification given by him and the exact rate quoted by the service center have lot of difference, he too shocked!! (??). He told, he only done the estimation of Rs.1650/- including service charges and all and he was not aware of the estimation given by the service center. He also told that he has done the rectification to the board till last mid night (06.10.09)…he asked me to wait for his call and disconnected. After few minutes, when he called up again, he was feeling very bad and
informed that some people tried to quote more on actual price and management is taking a serious action against them for cheating. And he clearly told that because of me, fortunately, they caught the fraud. Later, he came to the point. He told, board was rectified and I have to pay Rs.1650/-. I clearly told him I will pay only Rs.1000/- (Just
because, I thought he is the only person who is not lying to me) for rectification or else return my circuit boards in the same condition when he took from my house. He disconnected my call and didn’t bother to pick my call again.
When I spoke at 5.45 to the person, who was carrying my boards, he said
he is in Marathalli (nearly 26kms away from Mathikere) and he will be at my place at 6.30. I asked him how come he will come to my place in 30-45 mins?? He talked in very manner less way. And as I expected he didn’ t come. I tried once again to Mr. Shahid, once again,
surprisingly; he was in service center with my circuit boards REPAIRING….For asking, he told, he is rectifying the boards……(???). I demanded him to deliver the boards at any cost today only without doing anything. He also talked in a rude manner and told it will be sent to me at 10pm..
I received the circuit boards on 08.10.09 and now DISPLAY HAS GONE...
I just want to let u all know that IF U GET LOCAL SERVICE, YOU MAY LOOSE YOUR VALUABLE GENUINE PRODUCT...
