Need to remove my name form CBIL list

Hi,

I have cleared all the amount of my credit card of HDFC and HSBC bank. But still my name is in CIBIL record. Recently I have applied for Citibank credit card and got sms that as I will not get credit card as my name is listed in CIBIL list. Could any one please let me know that how I can remove my name form CIBIL list. I have settlement receipt details with me also.
