Today my Tata Safari (Dicor) broke down at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. After a complaint to service helpline by me at around 5 p.m. my vehicle was towed by some unknown crane to Vasant Kunj on instructions of HELPLINE without my consent. They demanded Rs.1300.00 after towing the vehicle to Vasant Kunj which is almost 35 kms. from my residence at Patel Nagar. After my complaint to bring back the vehicle to AUTOLINKS, Rama Road (New Delhi) the crane abandoned my Safari at an isolated road in Vasant Kunj and left leaving my teen-aged son and driver helpless on the road. Mr. Sumit at TATA MOTORS HELPLINE was also very unhelpful, rude and arrogant to me.
I want to lodge a STRONG COMPLAINT against Mr. Sumit's behaviour and handling of the situation and also against the Crane Service provided by the HELPLINE. I am looking for an immediate redressal to my complaint failing which I shall be forced to bring the matter to the knowledge of The Tata Motors Chairman. I am shocked at the behavior of the Helpline in the situation of distress.
