Sir/ madam according to THE DRUGS AND MAGIC REMEDIES (OBJECTIONABLE ADVERTISEMENTS)
ACT, 1955., unless prescribed by registered medical practitioners or after consultation with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940, no person or company, shall take any part in the publication of any advertisement referring to any drug that is used for:
a) the miscarriage in woman,
b) maintenance or improvement of the capacity of human beings for sexual pleasures,
c) correction of menstrual disorder in women, and
d) the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of any disease.
but these advertisements are frequently comes in local languages newspapers, like punjab kesri and denik bhaskar, which targets poor and illeterate people. most of the advertisements r realted to inhance sexual power in males andincrease height. which is totally fake and making people fool for their own benifit. according to act mention above these advertisements should be ban. because these drugs have surely deliterious effects and not good for health. so please suggest me what should be do to stop these advertisements. waiting for your early reply. these advertisements are against consumer law.
