When we checked with your office, we were informed that a letter was sent to us on 17th August.
My son visited the passport office on Wednesday, 26th August and he was asked to go to Counter No.9. At the counter, he was asked for the letter, so he told the person at the counter that he had not received any letter from your office. He was told that it was sent and when it is received, to come with the same. But it is very surprising that till date we have not received any letter or intimation from your office stating the reason. I would like to know the details of when and how this letter was sent to us as it is not yet received.
I have been checking the status daily on your website and I get the same status as mentioned above “Your Application is in process”.
I request you to kindly let me know the reason for the delay in issuing the Passport.
I think we should be telephonically informed or the correct status should be shown on your website as it is very misleading.
Today, my son visited your office again and he was not entertained and was told to come back only when he receives the letter. Kindly give me valid answer/justification as it does not take so long for a passport.
