I joined orient clothing pvt ltd as a trainee last year.
i worked as a trainee in merchandising department for 6 months and my experience was really bad.
they will never tell you anything as they themselved do not know anything.
the merchandisers are always busy doing the work and if you ask them anything they will literally shout on you.
i wanted to gain knowledge but whenever i wanted to ask something, they always shouted on me.
they ll make you worl like sweepers and peons.
i even worked as a pantry boy for my mentor.they dont have basic manners also.
once i was reading a manual on the computer and my mentor shouted at me "tumko kio kaam nahi hai kya faaltoo ka time paas kar rahe ho".i said mam i m going through the manual.so she said is that work? go and check for samples, go and do this go and do that.they always made me go here and there.i never got time for even 10 mts to sit and relax.
i was on whole day walk as if i have come on a company darshan.
my mentors were really really bad.
at the end of 6 mths what i learned was:
1. where is every department located
2. which person is to be contacted for doing a particular work
3. never say no to your mentors
4. a trainee is a personal peon
all the people over there who work as merchandisers are 12 the pass who joined company as asst m/c and now after several promotions they are now merchandisers.
so they do not understand things like importance of study and knowledge, marks, projects.they do not even know the enterance procedure for taking admission in a college.
they just know how to shout.
