Padmavathy Bharat Gas Agency / New Gas Connection
Demanding to buy a product worth of Rs.5000 while getting a new connection

Hi,

I approached Padmavathy Bharat Gas Agency at selaiyur in chennai for getting a new gas connection.

They sai if we pay Rs.7000 and buy a product say Grinder, Mixie etc, we will get the connection immediatly. The agency demands us to buy a product of worth Rs.5000 . We dont want any such products.

so they said u register and go, we ll call in priority. Its been 6 months i am waiting and keep on walking to the agency. Still they are demanding us to buy a product else they wont provide us new connection. They hace to show product sale, so it is mandatory to buy a product worth Rs.5000. We are getting flexible grider models at market for Rs.2.7k, but these ppl demanding to buy a failure and inconvenient model of grinder for Rs.5000 .

Now tamil nadu govt has announced that we can get a new gas connection with the employee certificate also. Apart from it they are forcing us to pay Rs.7000 and if we are not paying, we are denied of gas connection.

This is really very bad.

I want to know is this a rule and a mandatory thing to pay Rs.7000 and buy a private company product to get a bharath gas connection.
