Subject: GENUINE PARTS MISSING FROM THE SANTRO CAR TAKEN TO THE SERVICE CENTER (WHICH IS OPTED FOR TOTAL LOSS AFTER AN ACCIDENT)
Incident happened in brief:
&&&&&&&&&&&&&
I had purchased a 2nd hand Santro Car (99 Model) on January and an accident happened to me near Thonnackal, Trivandrum (Car rolled out of the road) on July. The same day my friend shifted the car to a local workshop near Technopark, but later I called the Popular Hundai Service executive and they took the car to the service center at Karamana on Aug 1st 2007. I purchased a new Getz Prime from the same dealer and opted for Total Loss scheme of Insurance for the old car after the advice form the executive and the car surveyor. Due to my busy work environment I am not able to go to the Service Center and monitor the proceedings but tried to contact them via Phone. The proceedings lagged up to 1 year till now.
Current Status:
&&&&&&&--
I visited the service station with a Workshop Owner who was ready to buy my car on this day (23rd Sep 2008) and get shocked on viewing my Santro Car. There is nothing in that which is valuable. Even the engine is not fully present in it. We went to the service station with a lorry to shift my car but it is not at all valuable. So we left it there itself. The workshop owner agreed to purchase the car if it is in the previous condition.
Car Previous Status just after accident:
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&--
=> Engine starts on ignition
=> Gear got stuck (don't know)
=> Front-left wheel needs alignment
=> Front-Left Headlight gone
=> Front-Left Door was damaged
=> Front Glass gone
=> Body Frame's Right Top side damaged
=> Steppini was damaged (missed in the local workshop)
=> I took the CD Player
My Complaint:
&&&&&&&-
Either the service center should take the car and give me the amount which I deserves or they should give me the car in its previous condition.
