I have same issue as kavita kumari (i have applied the passport at the post office and i don't have the passport file number). I have applied for the passport through post office. Post office detail are as follow:

From name: CHAAVVAKULA SEREESHA NAGA SATYA
city: HYD
DD NO: HYDW25105707
KEY NO9725105707
I want to know what is my passport file no..I have also went back to get the details. The post office guy use say tomorrow. When i approach him the next day he said was busy unable to check the details.when i told him that i am now at Bangalore and want to apply from here he asked me to go ahead!
