High Noise level in Videocon airconditioner purchased from Reliance Digital

I purchased Videocon Air-conditioner from Reliance Digital Store at Shipra Mall on 19/04 and I am constantly suffering from that day. The first blow was that it was delivered to me right at 01:00 AM on 20/04. The delivery personnel just rang the bell while we all in the house were in deep sleep. But this was not the end, it was just the beginning of the sleep-less nights which were about to come.

The next day, The Installation staff came and installed the air-conditioner in my room. When they switched it on to take the trial, it started making noise even more than a dessert cooler. They tried to insert various foam pieces and tried other things but could not eliminate or reduce the noise. Ultimately they went promising that tomorrow they will send some expert to resolve the problem.

Nobody came the next day; I tried to call the Reliance staff but could not get any response. Then I called Shri Bharat Nagpal, In-charge of the service division at Noida sector 63 offices. He promised me to send some expert engineer on next day. On Tuesday, 22April an engineer named Mr Ravi came. He inspected the air-conditioner and said that this problem can not be solved by adjustments, hence the AC requires replacement. He promised me that it will be replaced by Thursday, 24 April.

I contacted Shri Anuj over the phone at the service center on Wednesday to enquire about the replacement. He said that an engineer from Videocon will visit and give the report about the problem then only it will be replaced. Meanwhile I and my family were not able to sleep properly in bedroom because of the heavy noise which AC made, if I chose to run it or the scorching heat, if I chose to switch it off. I requested Mr Anuj to do whatever is needed to resolve the matter at the earliest so that I could get relief from sleepless nights and incessant follow-ups during daytime.

Videocon engineer and Reliance engineer again visited my house to inspect the AC on Thursday, 24 April. Videocon Engineer also tried his best to eliminate the noise in presence of Reliance engineer, but could not solve the problem and went away. Reliance Engineer Mr Kuldeep said that the AC needs replacement and he will try to get it replaced by today itself. He again talked to Mr Anuj and briefed him about the problem requesting him to replace it. Mr Anuj said that he is unable to do anything until he receives official report from Videocon. This upset me so much that I immediately rushed to the office of Reliance digital at A-175 Sector 63, Noida. I wanted to meet the service head to resolve my problem. It was conveyed to me that he is on leave but I can meet Mr Anuj. I met him and again requested him to get my AC replaced at the earliest to end my sleepless nights. Mr Anuj asked me to wait for some time and he contacted Service Head of the region and briefed him about the problem. He arranged the telephonic talk of the regional service head with me, who promised me to replace and install another AC by Friday, 25 April.

On Friday, 25 April when I enquired from Mr Anuj about the status of AC delivery, he said he will revert back soon to me to apprise me of the developments. Despite the assurance by all the personnel at Reliance Noida, the fact of the matter remains that, I am still suffering and my airconditioner has neither been replaced nor ractified
