Fraud Message for UK international Mobile Draw

I received an sms at 1.55 am on 30/05 stating thus; "Congrats, you have won 250, 000.00 GBP in 2009 (o2 UK) Int'l Mobile Draw in UK. To claim contact Mr. Steve Mark on Tel: 447035985572 or email: o2tele4live.com ". Please help as to why such messages are floating and what is the intent of such messages.
