Dear Ms. Banerjee,
This is wide circulated story here in Assam that at the time of Chinesse invasion in 1962 Pt. Nehru then prime minister of India have said over radio broadcast "Alvida Assam, sorry we cannot save you". I cannot verify this as it was happened before my birth but in today's contex I can say that some how we the residents of NE region got second hand treatment from various Government departments.
To acknowledge you about your ministry the Rajdhani Express run from Dibrugarh/Guwahati to New Delhi has all rejected coaches whereas new coaches are running in DELHI /PATNA short route. The food served has reduced from its original menu in only this sector whereas all other can still enjoy the flavour of ice-creams and other varieties. IF WE GO TO FARE RULE BOOK THAN IT HAS NOT BEEN MENTIONED ANY WHERE THAT DISTANCE WILL BE COUNTED FOR SERVING OF FOODS. AS FARE ARE BASED ON KM BASIS. So Madem will you clearify why this has been done to this sector only that so many varities has been cancelled from its menu.
I with deep heart wish to know from you that why this step mother type behaviour has been done with the residents of North Eastern Region.
