Shipment that was marked as urgent/important was promised a delivery of 48 hours at the time of booking is now not expected to be delivered within 5 days.

We had made a shipment from Hyderababd to Proddathur on 14th June directly from the Bluedart Madhapur office (not through any agent). We were promised for a delivery time of maximum 48 hours and were charged Rs.350/- for the same. We found both the price very high and the delivery SLA slack given that destination is hardly 350 km away by Road. However, the shipment was important and we went by Bluedart because of the reliability.

Now, when we realised that the shipment is not yet delivered, we enquired with the Bluedart office at the destination. The representative says that the shipment will not be delivered till the next 3 days as they have delivery service in that place only on certain days of the week. For a delivery in 5 days, I could have gone for some other low cost service provider. The 5 days spans over a weekend -- and we could have actually travelled to hand over the package in person in that time.

The response of the people on phone is pathetic. They are not able to offer any alternatives and even on multilple requests have not passed on any numbers for escalation of the issue.

Caution one and all &- dont dont ever assume that Bluedart would be reliable when making your shipments. It is overpriced, unreliable and has pathetic customer care.
