It has been observed since many years that the bridge over Mahi river near Umeta / Bhimpura is damaged so badly that it can collapse any time causing many casualties. There are so many pot holes that even the reinforcement steel is exposed fully. Concrete can be seen appx 2 inches below the steel. One can understand and guess the gravity of the situation. Some reparing was carried out on the expansion joints of the bridge about 2 months back. The same has started coming off at some places. These all is done by spending!!! amount - including mine and yours (as tax players), without confirmation of quality. Mostly all central govt / state givt. jobs are carried out with performance Bank guarantee. No one knows, whether this practice is followed for such jobs. Hoping that some action will be taken firstly to repair the bridge and subsequently on parties concerned on poor show.
