The ITO crossing is one of the busiest crossing of Delhi. It is very difficult for the pedeastrians to cross the road from each of four sides due heavy and continous traffic and have to wait for 5-10 minutes to cross since only 18 seconds are given by the Traffic Police. If traffic of one side is stopped, the other side starts. The Pedestrians have to cross it in running traffic which is very risky and accident may occur at any time. Likewise, at Tilak Bridge crossing the number of pedestrians crossing the road has increased due to neaby Metro Station at Pragati Maidan.
It is requested in public interest that a Four sided FOB or Sub-Ways to be constructed at ITO Crossing and an FOB from Sikandara Road connecting Pragati Maidan Metro Statation should be constructed immediately to give relief to the number of pedestrians crossing these busy roads.
