I reside in thiruninravur. it has gone from bad to worse to intolerable in the past six or seven days because of unscheduled power cuts.. there is nothing you can do in home, especially when you live in this town. If 5 hours was near to bad, eight hours is highly unacceptable. we can understand the power shortage experienced by our state and all but if the scheduled power cuts are up to 5 hours aday, atleast they must follow it. the power cut timings are 9am to 12am, 3pm to 6 pm, 7:45pm to 8:30 pm, 9:45 to 10:30 pm. the electricity board in our town is already pathetic and they have extended the power cuts by three hours. these power cuts are not sparred in sundays too. imagine yourself sitting in home after a hectic week of work and what you get, 6 hours without any form of electrical appliances, no tv nothing. if the govt has not authorized those power cuts, the why... when you return home working from city, all you can see is darkness.i dont know when this could reduce.we are going back to dark ages... 8 hours, one third of a day. this is a total failure of many things...
