This is Rajat Kataria. My address is 366 Kalani Nagar, Indore. Yesterday, i.e. on May 20, there was no electricity in our house from morning 9:30. One day before, there was a news in paper that there will be some maintenance work due to which electricity will not be there in Kalani Nagar area till 3 pm.
We thought it to be true. So, we waited till 4 pm. After we lodged a complaint at the numbers provided in the bill i.e. 0731-12660 and 0731-2425555.
Complaint was registered by me as well as my father. THe complaint numbers were 93 and 96.
Around 4:30 pm, the respective personal told me that, our compalint has been forwarded to Kalani Nagar Zonal Office and the transfered complaint number is 23. They also told me to contact at 0731-2912786.
I called at that number. The person told me that your problem will be resolved by around 8 or 8:30 pm that day.
It was fine with us that after 4 hrs of registering the compalint, we were getting some hopes of resolution.
As a remainder I again called at 6:30 pm. Again same reply.
At 8:30 pm I have to again call at Kalani Nagar Zonal Office. The person told me that they have not received any complaint of some kind of electricity fault at 366 Kalani Nagar. You have to register fresh complaint.
How can this happen? This means that the system is highly inefficient or not willing to work.
They were giving some kind of assurances to us that your light will be back latest by 11 pm in night.
Finally, this did not happen and I have to call some local electrician to resolve the problem at 12 midnight by paying him some amount.
Since it was very hot and humid on 20th May and moreover we had birthday of my sister on 21st May, so we could not do any kind of preparations. All our plans were in vain. We all were sweating like anything.
The only thing that I require from MPPKVVCL is a compensation of Rs. 10000 for the problem that we faced for around 15 hrs.
