Sir, I have applied for a new passport for me through Saranya Passport office in Trivandrum located opposite side of Passport Office. I'm married and I submit original marriage certificate. But an officer in Passport Office did not accept the certificate because it is from municipality, they accepted only the certificate of panchayat. We register marriage in municipality because we do not have panchayat, we are living in a town. Then I submit affidavit, they charged 400Rs extra and 1000 for agency charge. I am very sure that the affidavit is a dealing with someone who is working in passport office and this agency, because agency owner's wife is working in the PP office. I want to know the reason of this and how we submit marriage certificate from panchayat.
