Dear Consumer Forum,
I have applied for renewal of passport on 20th Feb. I am yet to receive my new passport. I could not enquire through phone as no one receives the call for hours. I went to bangalore office in person. I was told that police verification is not complete. I requested re-verification. After 3 months i have seen online status as passport issued and is in queue for number. Same message for 2 more months. I went to office again. they told me my place of birth is incorrect (they have entered my place of birth correct, but not my state). They said that they would correct it and send me the passport. Now my online status shows again Polic verification is incomplete. Passport office work gets into an infinite loop again with new file number and inspite of having software (i dont how good is that) by a well-known company.
