Any date can be changed through New website www.passpotindia.gov.in This is illegal

I feel that new website www.passportindia.gov.in has the new facility like any date can be changed for the status. I think that this is illegal. If someone has police verification completed on feb 10 and you wrote like police verification completed on April 1. which is illegal.

Earlier status was displaying like "Police verification initiated on April 1.
