Passport service
Did not receive passport after 3.5 months

Hi,

I had applied for a passport in Bhubaneswar office for my wife on 19th Aug (File no - A 021931 10). It has been more than 3 months but still i did not get my wife's passport. The online status also showing as blank. When i enquired at passport office counter, they are saying candidate has to come to the passport office to sign for opening a file. But unfortunately my wife is with me in Pune. But i dont understand why signature required in this case, even after all documents are ready (last online status, after which it is showing as blank). And when i tried to raise a complain about the same in passport office, they are not giving the complaint form and saying we will send you the passport in 15-20 days. This means i will get passport after 4 months of applying and that is not sure. Please help me in this regard.
