High Voltage of 440 Volts

I am Uday, resident of Raghavendra Nagar, Nacharam, Shanti Gardens, 'C' Block Flat no. 412. I would lodge a complaint and request for immediate action on the below issue:

There has been a serious power problem in our apartments last week, A high voltage (440 Volts) which caused a massive damage to our house hould electronic appliances in our entire apartment which has around 75 Flats. It has damaged 14 televisions, 1 computer monitor, 2 refrigirators, 30 CFL bulbs.

When contacted, the electric department people are telling as it is our problem, we need to change our transformer which got very old.

What can be done to this problem, please reply.
