1. That one building in the name of Mahendra Tower near New Bus Stand, G.T. Road, Ghaziabad (UP) has been constructed illegally and on the government / GDS land in collusion with corrupt government officers and some corrupt politicians.
2. This building has been constructed on the land which is within the jurisdiction of GDS / Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad and it is necessary and mandatory for the construction that there must be proper sanction of plan. In this case, no plan. For the construction as it is on the spot has been sanctioned. When the construction has been made illegally and is not in accordance with the sanction and is without sanction even then due to collusion of the corrupted and has not been demolished so far.
3. On the spot inspection, it will be revealed that the area covered by this building including its adjoining area is about 5, 000 sq. yard (about 1 acre) and huge construction consisting of six floors in the shape of mall and palace has been construction and due to corruption, no action has been taken for demolition of this building.
4. The owner of the building do not have any valid sale deed to show as to how they acquired the title and ownership of this huge area measuring about 1 acre. In fact, the owner of the building which is a company in the name of Mahendra Associates Private Limited, do not have any legal title deed to show the ownership of the land. In fact, the construction on the public land / government land / GDA land and hence even if some registered document has been fabricated / manipulated from some person who himself or herself was not having the owner ship that has no legal value and is liable to be ignored.
5. The land is said to be the agricultural land / green land and it is reported that no construction of the huge building in this land is permitted / allowed. This all requires a detailed inquiry in the matter.
6. In fact, a land mafia is involved in the activity. Some criminals are also involved in this activity and they are on collusion with the owners. Even the criminals are involved in ransom activities and kidnapping / abduction.
7. Even the functioning of the Mahendra Associates Private Limited is highly doubtful and it also requires a detailed inquiry from the Company Law Board and other authorities.
8. It is also reported that this building is also being used for prostitution. It is reported that in the night time, young girls are brought and the accommodation is provided after taking money for their enjoyment. It is highly improper and it also giving adverse effect upon the local residents. The members of the land mafia and the owner of the building involved in the illegal activities are very infusion and they have got lot of money and they are expert in giving bribe and they also threaten the persons if anybody tried to bring their illegal activities to the notice of the Government / Authorities.
It is therefore requested that a details enquiry be held in the matter by some senior honest efficient officer at the earliest and steps be taken to demolish this illegal construction and to ensure the get back the Government / GDA / Public land. It is also requested that the prostitution going on in the building be also immediately stopped in the interest of the society and local residents.
