Alliance Habitate
Cancellation of Booking/Refund not received

In the year 2008 April I had booked a flat at Angamali, Kerala. Builders are Alliance Habitate. The builders told me that the construction would begin in June. There was no progress even until July. I kept following up with them about the progress of the construction and project. Later in Jan I decided to cancel the booking as there was no progress at all. Every time I called/emailed their office they would only tell me that they were going to refund the money soon. But there was no response. I then asked my father in law in Kerala to handle this. He went to their office and enquired about the project called Red Rose. Alliance told him that the project had been stopped. After threatening to go to court they issued 3 cheques totalling Rs 38000 paid as downpayment for booking this flat. However, on presenting this cheque to the bank, the bank said that there were no funds in the account. We again waited and spoke to Alliance and again promises were made for refund, but they kept making false promises. Until today they have not got refund.
