Locking ladies handbags

I went to this mall for some shopping and while at the security check entry, One security lady asked my wife to handover her handbag so that it can be locked with a plastic tie. We were shocked to see this and opposed to lock the bag. This was a straight insult to us as a consumer. Because of few shoplifters these store owners cannot treat everybody with such an insult.

I have been to many overseas countries and shopped in many store there but I never experienced such a humiliating and insulting act against customers.

All over the world shoplifters are there and stores are taking appropriate preventive actions to handle such cases without insulting customers.

Another example is Bigbaazar in Delhi where similar humiliating practice is going on.

Please take appropriate action to handle this issue.
