DELAY IN NEW LANDLINE CONNECTION

I booked a BSNL landline connection and paid the deposit on 03/11. the work order number is JDP/N/GG/10-11/0473 Dt 03/11. The instrument was delivered within five days with a promise that the line will be activated next day.

Today is 06/12 - no connection as yet. In between I personally went to BSNL Office at Ranikuthi. Got assurance that it will be done soon. I spoke on telephone to the concerned persons. They were all surprised about the delay and assured connection at the earliest. 33 DAYS HAVE PASSED - PHONE IS STILL DEAD AS A DODO.

I was even allotted a telephone number - 2414 5740.

When the customer base of BSNL is eroding, a person still opting for a new bsnl connection, possibly deserves a better service and attention. Seems BSNL is still having the hangover of the old monopolistic days when a customer had to run pillar to post and boot lick/palm grease down to the line man level to get a connection or a complaint attended.

Will BSNL act please and activate my telephone?
