I was using my airtel prepaid number for more than 12 years and suddenly it got deactivated 10 days back, I am out of country now and the SIM in my mobile shows SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED When i tried to find out from Airtel customer care Hyderabad they said the mobile was not in use for last 3 months that's the reason they have de activated and reissued the number to some else. How is it possible. Last time I made an ISD call from that number was on Dt:- April 20th 2012 then how they can say that it has been not used for more than 3 months. My number is 9849869031 which is distributed everywhere officially was used regularly and recharged regularly and i was constantly getting message and alerts on it, then why it was deactivated and issued to someone else. I even have my e-banking transactions validated from that number. As and when they asked for ID proof and residence proof it has been provided to airtel on time to time. This time there was no intimation given to me and all of the sudden they have disconnected my 12 years old number. Airtel being a long player in the market I haven't expected this kind of service from AIRTEL. Its really cheating and fraud. How can they issue an active prepaid lifetime number in some other's name without informing. Really shocked and annoyed by worst services by Airtel. I have received no solutions even after contacting customer care services 4-5 times. Three times the Customer service executive has disconnected the phone wantedly. I hope i get the solution asap else i m very frustrated and disappointed with AIRTEL SERVICES.
