We were a group of 11 people travelling from Siliguri to Ganagtok and had planned to visit Gurudamba Lake and Yumthang Valley in North Sikkim.
We paid Rs. 55, 000/- for the 5 day trip. But the trip was a disaster as DISHA TOURS & TRAVELS cheated all the way.
1. They charged the money, took the commission and passed on the travel responsibilities to another travel agency in Gangtok, without informing us.
2. The travel agent showed us different places on package and made bill excluding some place, informing us that those few places will be anyway covered as they are on the same route. But after reaching lachen & luchang, we were informed that all those places (katao, zero point, etc) whose names are not included in bills will not be covered.
3. The travel agent clearly mentioned that money will be refunded if you do no visit any place (for any reason). He even did calculations for every place of how much money will be refunded in case you are not able to visit any place. But when we were not able to visit Gurudamba Lake and Yumthang Valley, he refused to refund money because he said we traveled half the distance so it doesn't matter if we reached the location, money will be charged.
4. Travel agent promised us to give us a guide, but never gave one. He even charged Rs. 500/- extra for that.
5. Pathetic service and room bookings.
6. Never received our calls after we left his office.
7. HES a BIG FRAUD. A lot of people who came to Gangtok by the same DISHA TRAVELS faced similar problems.
