A case fraud in faith. With full page advertisements in leading local dailies, they lured around 1000 people for Hajj Hajj 2012 and Umrah. As the Hajj 2011 neared, they held the training session at Kashmir University's Convocation Complex, did vaccination in their Munarawabad, Srinagar office and later came out with fake flight schedules in the local dailies. Just after two days they came out with another advertisement informing therein delaying of deparure date and resceduling of flight scedule. In the meantime, word spread like a wild fire that Hajeej India has not been able to obtain visas. Only 50 visas had been arranged and to manage the show craftly and with deceit 50 blue-eyed persons, who enjoy power, one of them even happens to be J&K's cabinet minister, were taken to Hajj. The news was received as a shock by the duped aspirants in particular and by the local population in general. The fiasco was followed by largescale protests and dharnas. Police swung into action and one of the owners namely Arsalan Wahid Gilkar was arrested from Mumbai airport while the second culprit, Fabiyan Wahid Gilkar continues to be in the hiding. Government ordered enquiry and the one-man enquiry commision (ADC Srinagar Mohammed Akbar Ganie) established the fraud and recommended confiscation of propoerties of Hajeej India owners. Three weeks have already passed after the commision submitted its report and recommendation, yet there seems to be no headway from the government. It appears that government has decided to sit on the files till the matter dies down.
Hajeej India has played with the religious sentiments of the around 800 people and nobody on this planet seems to be taking the side of victims. A strong, serious and urgent intervention is needed from your forum. I am sure your immediate intervention will yield some positive results and we will get to see justice being delivered and our hard earned money being paid back.
