HOTEL BILL SWIPED DOUBLE AND NOT REFUNDED

Dear sir,

On last month dated 28th March I have visited Shimla and went for your hotel for 2 days accommodation. The room rent were decided 2640.00and sum total it was coming 5280.00 Rupees only. Accordingly at the time of check in only I paid the total amount through my ICICI Bank debit card no 4181570052004038. Surprisingly I found that your person had a mistake in card swiping and he has taken double amount (Rs. 10560.00) from my card. Before signing the same I asked him for the same and your Front office personal Mr. Perm Ji told me that it is not a very big issue and they will refund me the balance amount through cash. I became quite happy about your spot decision but found rather cash refund he had voided the same amount from your account. Which makes a big complex and I became scared about the process you handled the situation. Then I again asked Mr Perm that what is the procedure for getting refund of the same amount what he was supposed to refund me on cash mode. He replied that as per his superior’s decision only he had done that void and the same will be refunded within an hour to my account.

On the very next day also it was not refunded to my account and I again asked Mr Perm about the solution, but he just replied that it will be done by today and I need not worry about that. But after evening period also it was not refunded to my account and I became really in deep trouble about this incident and asked mr Prem that whether I could have a talk to his superior person. He just agreed and I went for a discussion with his superior to resolve the issue. He then told me that he has already talked to his banker HDFC bank Chandigarh Branch and the same will be processed and refunded within next 4-5 working days. Also he told that it is not a very big issue from their end and I could pay the hotel bill except food bill after getting refunded the same to my account and also he handed over related void slip and his communication mail to HDFC bank Chandigarh branch.

After that discussion I have checked my bank account on several occasions but till today after crossing one month the same has not refunded to my account.

Now please clarify the below points

1. Whether I have done any wrong paying you through card?

2. It is the policy you follow being a three star category Hotel for general traveller from out site your State?

3. When the issue will be resolved?

Now after one month ofthat incedent they have started threatning over telephonestating that they have already refunded my the balance 5280.00 Rs in cash mode and their are no such case pending and more over they are having also the signed copy which proves the cash refund from their end. Me and my family are really scared about this incedent and really worried about their untollerable behaviour over telephone.
