I purchased a holiday package from bookmyholidays (india today group) in december for 7n/8d for Rs7000.I was told for booking a holiday I have to send the request form along with three different destinations with 3 different dates with 30-45days of advance notice.
I was told I would be provided with 2 studio/1bed rooms as per availability in 3 to 5star hotels for 4adults. When I booked the package there were few 5-star resorts/Hotels were listed in their directory.
But now all the 5star hotels have been removed from the list. I sent the request form on 05.03.2012 and it was received by bookmyholidays along with the rs750 DD as booking amount on 10.03.2011.
I gave 3 destinations as 1.Manali 2. Kodaikanal 3.Ooty for dates
16-22may, 23-29may and 8-14june that is I gave more tan 60days of advance notice.
Now I have been told that in manali there is no rooms availability in any 3star hotel. Only available hotel is hotel president which is not more than a 2star hotel.
I wanted either royal banon resorts or manali resorts in manali which are 3-star hotels.
Though rooms are available in these hotels for the month of may I have been told its not available by bookmyholidays.
When I inquired from various 3-star-5star hotels in different cities including royal banon resorts and manali resorts in manali listed in the bookmyholidays directory they told me that they have discontinued their association with bookmyholidays long back. But still bookmyholidays have listed those hotels in the resort directory. This is clear case of cheating. I was told bookmyholidays list 3star hotels just to lure people to buy holiday packages and later give bookings in 1star to 2star hotels. I never expected this from a company belonging to india today group.
When a hotel is not even associated with them how can they list in the directory. This is cheating. Most of the 3star hotels are not associated but still in the resort directory it is mentioned.
I demand my rs7750 back. Thanks.
