Hi. This is Adithya Balakrishnan. I am a fresher from Anna university who passed out last year. Unfortunately even in Anna univeristy placements were not so good. So through my fathers frends reference i visited this consultancy in kodambakkam called "DIRECTION PLACEMENT CONSULTANCY". Met some HR there. I was more interested in IT jobs being a B.E graduate.
They informed me that opportunities in IT were very remote for freshers after recession. They suggested some good BPO companies which were technical in nature. However, i was not interested in it as i wasnt flexible for night shifts. So they took my profile and gave their contact number and informed that if any interview would come my way, they will inform.
But they did not charge any money for registration and all.
I have heard that some consultancies are taking money for registering. Freshers, don go to such concerns wo ask money for registering. Beware. I also wanna know if the situation in IT is really like tat? If any openings, kindly let me know.
