Mahindra Sa
Mahindra SA - cracked Thar fuel line

I bought a Mahindra Thar in January and have been very happy with the vehicle. It's only done about 15 000 kms.

In May - at the West Rand dealership - I first reported a diesel leak, and they replaced a pipe for me... However this leak has reoccurred - if it was ever properly fixed - and I was told by the Northcliff dealership that the Fuel Back, 5 high pressure pipes and the common rail must be replaced as they are cracked! (Over R17 000.00 to fix - how is it possible that all of these parts are now faulty and damaged after such a low mileage?) I believe that this factory fault originated when I first reported the leak in mid, and am certain that it was not properly diagnosed or repaired at the time. Of course now that the real cause of the leak has been diagnosed... I'm told that the vehicle is was of warranty.

After the dealership failed to get any joy from Mahindra SA regarding this claim I contacted Sanjoy Gupta in India. I'm happy to say that within 24 hrs the matter has been settled as a "good will" gesture by Pavan Nair in SA..

FANTASTIC PROMPT SERVICE. Just a pity that I had to contact India and that the dealer did not receive this response initially
