I have been constantly having issues with my laptop since the past 1 month. First my laptop had a heating issue and webcam was also not working, so,
I called up dell technical support told them my problem and they sent a onsite engineer to repair it. So this guy comes in to my place changes the webcam and the motherboard. However in the process he broke the front LCD Panel covering. He did have an extra panel for my model so he tried replacing it, and hence breaking it too. Before leaving he tell me that it not broken but just loose and will settle after few days of use. Also after he left I realized that my windows was malfunctioning any was freezing up sometimes. I re-run my windows experiences index, only to find that it had decreased to 4.3 from 5.1 (my Windows Experiences rating before the technician touched my laptop)
I waited for few days and called the dell technical support again. The Technical support guy started troubleshooting and giving me all sort of rubbish explanation as to what could have caused the issue. I myself work in IBM and I am a B.tech in Computer Science graduate, I did not buy his explanation and told him what might have caused this issue. He insisted that i am wrong and he is right, so i told him to do what-ever he wants. They sent another onsite engineer to fix this issue. He comes in and fixes my Lcd Panel covering and replaces the motherboard again. But when he switched the laptop on it displayed the Blue Screen Error(better known as BSOD: blue Screen of Death). Then he switshed backed to the motherboard that he just took out from my laptop and checked. Windows loaded and was working, so he never replaced my motherboard and i never got my old ratings back. He left and i requested that i mark him high on his service survey. just a day after that i plugged my cameras SD card in my laptop to back-up few photographs. I found out that now my memory card reader was not working. I was furious!!
I called up Dell technical support again and told them about it. I told them that i had enough of them and i just need my laptop to work fine with any hardware issue. So they promised to send another onsite technician. So today the technician came and fixed the SD Card reader and also replaced the motherboard which they failed to do before. I cross checked everything before he left and switch my laptop off. 30 min later i switch my laptop on again only to find a bluish display on the LCD. So i tried to move the LCD Panel back and forth to see if it makes any difference. If had press and hold on the bottom left corner on my LCD panel then the display is fine but as soon as i release it, guess what i goes back to that bluish color tone!!!!!
So i tried calling dell technical support again. A girl picks up and i asked her politely that "is it possible that i could talk to your manager"? She replied in affirmative and placed me on hold. 2 min later she hanged up on me!!!!
I am in a state of monstrous frustration and i hope i dont meet anyone who works in Dell Technical support. Coz if i did, I would be the first person to shove up the dell laptop in there! @#$%^!!!!
