I am holding my landline BB connection with airtel since 2003 and I was very happy with their overall service until recently i went though this nightmerish experience with Airtel Customer Care. My landline number is 080-41202354 and I have requested from a transfer to my new address in Kadugodi, Whitefield. And here is a sequence of events with the complaint number:
15065222 – 30th april – Shifting request
Few calls
15422500 – 7th may – No progress on shifting hence another complaint to get the status
Few more calls
15799836 – 15th May – Cancellation request upon hearing that no port is available
Got a call from airtel saying port is now free and connection is possible
16087662 – 21st may – Shifting request after getting a confirmation call that port is available and connection was given soon
Another call – 23rd of May – Call to customer care to find out the status, informed that there is no port avaialble
16203428 – 24th may – Cancellation request
Numerous call in between to customer care to find out the status. It has been a real harassment dealing with Airtel and they way they treat their customers. Their belief that they can get away with such things is most shocking.
Please advise what should be my next step.
