HP laptop with faulty nvidia GPU stop working after 16 months

I have bought an HP laptop DV6000 series model DV6767tx in 2007. laptop has the overheating problem from starting itself I thought it to be normal but last week suddenly it stopped working there is no display on the LCD but when connect it to the external monitor it works.

I searched on the net and found out that laptop has the faulty nVidia GPU inbuilt due to that it overheated and display won t work. I contacted HP about this they examine the unit and told me GPU is faulty and they need to replace the whole mother board that would cost around 20000/-.

As there is a manufacturing fault in the unit I am not suppose to pay any money for that HP should stand by their product. There are thousands of user that are having the same problem and HP is not anything at all.

Can I can this faulty unit replaced or atleast get it repaired without any cost as it a manufacturing fault.
