I had booked a city taxi at the num 080 - 23333337 i.e Jai city taxi in RT nagar Bangalore on 4th Jan from madivala to city railway station (Less than 10 Km) distance. The rate for taxi is 12 per Km. When the driver came to pick me i asked him to switch on the meter he said that he does not have a meter and the rate is 12/Km i asked him how will he measure he said they have a fixed rates. To that i informed him that i am not going to pay him more than 150. he continued driving and when we rechd station he started asking 250 rupees to which i denied he said call the helpline and check. Helpline guy was asking me how many Kms (You can understand wht sort of lousy person hee was as he asked me the num of Km's) I told him that there is no meter installed and driver is asking me 250 rupees then he told me tht today being a sunday demand is more and taxis are less so u pay him 230 whcih is almost double the amount. when i denied the driver started abusing me and created a scene in front of public and to avoid the embarrasment of my family i had to pay him 200. Please have some rules and regulations in place for these lousy services so that innocent people who dont have their own cars and want to utilize public transport dont have to suffer like this.
