Hi,
I bought a BORGES product and along came a free movie voucher which was to be redeemed by BIG CITY REWARDS. Following are the sequence of events and troubles that I had to go through in my efforts to get it redeemed which has not yet been redeemed.
- As instructed, tried sending the voucher number via sms in order to receive the authentication # but no reply ever came
- Tried registering the same via online mode but every time there was an error message flashed "Invalid Voucher number"
- Had no option but to call the customer care on the provided contact details to redeem the tickets
1. After some serious effort I was successful in convincing the customer care that I received an authentic voucher on a BORGES Product. I was told that some person will call me within 2 days time.
2. No one called and so I called up again post which I was told that somebody will call me within 1 hour
3. No one called and so passed the weekend. Then I called up next week and I came to know that the bookings will only happen 1 day before the show and was not given the explaination of how did the customer care gave me assurances to receive a call within hour the week before that
4. Nevertheless, I waited for the day when I should have received the call. But I did not receive any calls till noon and then I made 3 reminder calls and each time I was told that I will receive call by the end of the day
5. No one callled and hence passed another weekend and the next week I was given the explaination that the systems were down the full day so we could not process any requests which they did not bother to tell me on the day I was trying to reach them
6. Anyways, I started the same cycle of calls and another weekend has passed by.
In totality, I have wasted almost 3 weeks calling them with no avail and now I realize that the validity period of the voucher might also expire soon and this could be one of the ploys to drag this on forever.
I do not know whom should I hold accountable for this whole episode "Borges or Big City Rewards".
Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Abhishek
