I have been using the number "9880916561" for the past 6 years. Since I am receiving the promotional calls and messages at high volumes, I registered for DND (Do Not Disturb) service and I was communicated that it will be activated after the 45 days after the registration. I have also updated few the messages and from whom I am frequently getting, in Airtel website as well.

I waited 45 days and even then there was no improvement. Then again I had discussion with Airtel help desk, and then they again said that it can be activated after 10 days. I eagerly waited 10 days and found there was no improvement. Similarly I had discussion more than 6 times for DND activation every time they said that it will be activated, but I could not found any improvement. Then again I had a discussion today (i.e. 31st, August), finally they said that they can restrict promotional messages or calls only from Airtel and not from other provides. Then I asked them why did you made me wait till 3 months saying that it will be activated after 45, 10, 10… days every time.

Till now I would have generated more than INR 1, 50, 000/- revenue from this number to Airtel. After seeing the quality of service, I decided to move from the provider and would like inform about this to my nears and dears.
