I needed to go to BTM 2nd stage from AMR Tech Park with my friend. None of the auto walas outside AMR Techpark agreed. We ended up walking from there. Could not find any auto on my way. One of my office colleagues was coming in auto. She stopped to withdraw cash from ATM and we were near that one. She had to get down at Maruti chambers, for which she was asked to pay Rs40 (for less than 2kms). The auto wala agreed for Rs.70 to BTM. After dropping her at Maruti chambers, he asked for 40 ruppess and refused to go to BTM without another 70 rupees. We argued with him and seeing no possibilty of getting another auto, we ended up agreeing to pay another 70. We paid him that on reaching our destination. I could not see the normal license details on his seat and forgot to note down the vehicle number.
In nutshell, he took 110 for the actual charge of only 50 ruppees.
