Bharat Gas - Mahim Gas Agency. A few days back a mechanic from Bharat Gas came home, stating he wanted to do a routine check to see if the gas was ok. In addition he should me a circular dated May saying the check would cost Rs 70/. He came in lit 2 burners of the gas stove and said pay Rs 70/-. I refused to do so. He did not check the regulator, the rubber pipe, the oven, grill. He started arguing that this was mandatory and I must pay. Firstly I did not call him. I would like to know that if there is nothing wrong why does BharatGas have these checks and demand Rs 70/-. As it is the Gas clynder prices are soaring, is this another way to make money? This high handed demand of making money from consumers is not justified. I would like to address this with the authorities concerned to take appropriate action. HOw can this organisation demand money for nothing.
