Good day Sir,
This is Ram from Chennai. i have little clarification about
CIBIL Report. Five years back, my brother had HSBC Credit card. He applied and
gave me an add-on-card on my name. After an year, since i got HDFC Credit card
with good Credit limit, I asked him to Cancel the credit card by releasing the
payment. He canceled both, main card and Add-on-card by settled the payment.
Bank has given the confirmation letter for the final payment and cancelled it.
Recently a year back, when i applied for a home loan, i
came to know from the HDFC home loan department that they have my name in CIBIL
Report. When i saw the report given by the bank, the HSBC credit card was still
in due and they have sent to the cibil.
I emailed the report immeditely to HSBC bank and also went
directly in person. I got the feed back that the card given by cibil was invalid
credit card number and there was no person used that card. After i got the
feedback from HSBC credit card division, i called to CIBIL Mumbai office to
clarify the report. they said that report were given by HSBC and I have to
approch bank. Bank said that they can not do any thing.. so what i do?
ref please see below correspondence between CIBIL, HSBC& me
