My Name is Anand Mehta. I have purchased a bunglow @ Talegaon - Flora City (Namrata Developers). For the same I required a housing loan for amount 15 Lakhs only. In the same premises @ Talegaon there were some advertisements of HDFC. Also the Owners & Marketing team of Flora City suggested & recommended to go with HDFC as many other purchasers also went with HDFC for loans in their premises.
Thus with their help I came in contact with Mr. Rahul Hoshing of HDFC (Pune). I spoke to him several times to understand the system & also then met him finally in March @ Talegoan Site office. I submitted to him, all the required documents, letters, photos, etc, initial cheque in favour of HDFC (Cheque Number : 228942 dated 18/03 for amount 12836/- drawn on Indian Bank, Andheri West Branch, Mumbai). On submitting he confirmed to me that he does not require anything from me now as all the required has been received by him. He informed me that some one from HDFC will call/visit for verification & then the payment will be done immediately.
Till Date (almost 5 months!!) no one from HDFC has called/visited for verification.
I have atleast followed up 20 -25 times with Mr. Rahul, but always he says that he is sorry & will do the needful. This has not happenned till date. Meanwhile I was fed up & decided that I do not want a loan from HDFC anymore since there was no seriouness/positive response from HDFC people. Thus I got the cheque stop payment done in my bank & was then following up for the return of all the required documents, letters, photos, etc, initial cheque in favour of HDFC, etc etc.
Then I got Mr. Ajay Davare's reference - Mr. Rahul's Senior manager of HDFC @ Pune Branch. From past 2 months I am following up with him also, but always he has a sorry face & tells me that he will call me. From past 2 months, not a single time, has he called me. Mr. Ajay once said that everything has gone to Mumbai Office & now he is unable to get the same. This is RIDICULOUS. Is this the way the customers papers/important/private documents are held/managed??
The losses I have incurred because of the pathetic way of working by your (HDFC) people :
a) Non Timely payment - the owner was after me for payments & I was in no position to pay the same from my side.
b) My name & reputation went for a toss because HDFC did not pay on time.
c) Interest Loss - I had to manage the required funds from other sources & thus I had to pay more interest than HDFC.
d) Infact I am not even getting any I.Tax benifit on housing loans.
e) Mental pressure / Financial burden / Stress / etc.
For the above, I have two demands :
1) Return each & every thing which I had submitted to Mr. Rahul in March. Witnesses are Flora City's Marketing Manager -
Mr. Deepak. I have a copy of Mr. Rahul's receipt of all documents.
2) Compensatory Payment to me from HDFC for loan amount's 20 % => Rs.300000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only)
Please treat this as urgent & serious, do not force me to go to the press/consumer forum/civil courts/etc. I am tired of following up with HDFC.
