I have a saving bank account at District Cooperative Bank Nanpara, Bahraich (U.P.) where one can deposit money but can't withdraw. This rule exists for the common man only, those who are mighty can withdraw as much as they can. this condition prevails since 2006. I am unable to understand as how the authorities looking after the entire banking activity in this country let this happen for so long. Since 2006 I have seen thousands of people begging to the bank authorities to allow them to withdraw money but of no use. They Say that the bank has no money to give and that they are waiting for the money to come from the reserve bank of india as well as from the central and state governments. If one is not able to withdraw their saving in times of need from the bank that was setup and is functioning under the banking rules & regulations of this country only the almighty can explain the reason. may be justice is to be delivered some day but then i have a counted number of days to live. Being an old man, retired from service i find it very difficult to approach the higher authorities out side the district, in person, to get my money back. besides this my personal safety and security is another concern. If the bank is not able to meet its liabilities there is no rationale in its working for so long and the salaries being paid to the employees for the work they didn't perform. The condition of other branches in the district remains the same. Hope some day justice will be delivered!
