my family has been cheated by Reliance Life insurance Agent with the help of Reliance Local office. Policies was sold for an investment plan with insurance with higher returns but later we found that the same commitment was not mentioned in the document. When we contacted the reliance office for this cheating, They refused to cancel the policies based on following inputs…
Reliance Said:
1. There is no indication of any tampering/cancellation on the proposal form.
2. Any changes to the policy can be requested only within the freelook period (15days) as mentioned in the terms and conditions of the policy document dispatched to you.
They should cancel the policy and return our money based on following…
1. False commitment by agents to sell the policies to the customer but not delivery of the same policies as discussed.
2. No Verification by reliance office– There was no verification before and post policies issues by reliance of wheather the customer understood the terms and condition properly or right polices was being sold out?
3. Customer family was unable to verify the given policies as customer family does not understand English and document was delivered in English.
4. Misusing of 15 days lock in period to force customer to accept the wrong policies by cheating/ false commitment by agent with the help of reliance bokaro branch.
5. No insurance auditing was not initiated by involving customer directly - indirectly
6. Agent had communicated with us as an investment plan with heavy returns with insurance and later we found his commitment was not mentioned in policies document.
But Reliance Insurance Management is not buying our points as they trust their agents more and when we talk to their agents, they play with words or ignore us.
We have decided to fight against it. If you have been cheated by same ways by reliance insurance agents, please let me know, we are doing some small social media and video campaign to aware reliance management about the fact of how their agents cheat us and make fool innocent people.
