On 17.07. recieved a SMS on my mobile No. i.e. TM-BMS mentioning that i was a winner of 700, 000 British Pounds and a BMW 3 Series coupe

Their personnel contacted me and asked to deposit Rs. 31, 800/- in HDFC Bank but i have not deposited the same and asked him to first come to my home and only after receipt of the delivery package, i will deposit the same amount. Thereafter, i have not received any call from him.
Is this informaition correct or is someone trying to cheat me?
